Sodium hypochlorite is the hypochlorite salt of sodium. Sodium hypochlorite reacts with carbon dioxide to produce hypochlorous acid, which is an effective component of bleaching agents. The national mandatory standard "Sodium Hypochlorite" (GB 19106-2013) came into effect on December 1, 2014. Replace GB 19106-2003. The general requirements for sodium hypochlorite solution are specified. GB 25574-2010 "National Food Safety Standard - Sodium Hypochlorite as Food Additive" was formulated and published by the Ministry of Health, which specifies the requirements for sodium hypochlorite as a food additive. Sodium hypochlorite used as a food additive must comply with the requirements of this standard.

Product Usage:
Sodium hypochlorite is mainly used in bleaching, industrial wastewater treatment, papermaking, textiles, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, sanitation and disinfection, and many other fields. Specifically, it is:
1. Used for bleaching pulp, textiles (such as fabrics, towels, sweatshirts, etc.), chemical fibers, and starch;
2. The soap industry uses it as a bleaching agent for fats and oils;
3. Used in the chemical industry for the production of hydrazine hydrate, monochloramine, and dichloroamine;
4. Chlorination agents used for manufacturing cobalt and nickel;
5. Used as a water purifier, bactericide, and disinfectant in water treatment;
6. The dye industry is used to manufacture sulfur blue;
7. Organic industry is used as a cleaner for the production of chloropicrin and acetylene through the hydration of calcium carbide;
8. Disinfectants and deodorizers used in agriculture and animal husbandry for vegetables, fruits, breeding farms, and livestock houses;
9. Food grade sodium hypochlorite is used for disinfecting beverages, fruits, and vegetables, as well as for sterilizing food manufacturing equipment and utensils. However, it cannot be used in food production processes using sesame as raw material.
