Product Introduction:
Potassium nitrate is the nitrate salt of potassium, with the chemical formula KNO3 (potassium nitrate is an ionic compound and does not have a molecule, so it has no molecular weight, only a formula). The appearance is transparent colorless or white powder, odorless, with a specific gravity (water=1) of 2.11. The solubility in water is 13 g/100mL (depending on temperature, the higher the temperature, the higher the solubility. Among chemical substances, the solubility of potassium nitrate changes significantly). The deliquescence is lower than that of sodium nitrate, and it has a cooling and stimulating salty taste. Dissolve in water, slightly soluble in ethanol.

Product Usage:
1. Used as analytical reagents and oxidants, as well as for the synthesis of potassium salts and the preparation of explosives.
2. In the food industry, it is used as a coloring agent, color protectant, antimicrobial agent, and preservative, such as in cured meat and as a preservative in luncheon meat.
3. It is a raw material for manufacturing black gunpowder, such as mining gunpowder, ignition wires, firecrackers, etc. Also used for fireworks to produce purple sparks. Mechanical heat treatment is used as a salt bath for quenching. The ceramic industry is used to manufacture porcelain glaze and colored powders. Used as a glass clarifying agent.
